Hello!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Sara Robles and I am the new Spanish teacher.  It has been a busy first few weeks! Your children have been extremely welcoming and very enthusiastic learners!  I’m thrilled to be working with your children and look forward to meeting all of you. My background in Spanish began in high school when my family traveled to México for my father’s business. I hold a B.A. in Spanish from the University of San Diego, an M.A. in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University, and I earned my K-12 Spanish teaching credential from Saginaw Valley State University. I have also lived and traveled throughout México.

Students in K-6th grades have just finished working on the following;
  • asking and answering what his/her name is (¿Cómo te llamas?)
  • exchanging greetings and expressing how he/she is feeling (¿Cómo estás?)
  • identifying colors and providing information about colors (¿De que color es?)
  • counting and providing information about how many there are (¿Cuántos hay?)
  • identifying and providing information about shapes and the number of sides (Las Formas / ¿Cuántos lados tiene?)

Students in 7th and 8th grade have completed reviewing the items mentioned above, interrogatives, and they have started to work on the verbs SER and ESTAR.

In the upcoming few weeks, your children will be working on the following;
  • days of the week
  • months of the year
  • seasons
  • weather

Additionally, 7th and 8th grade students will review a variety of Spanish grammar principles and continue their work on the verbs SER and ESTAR.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with questions or concerns.  My e-mail address is sarajkleekamp@gmail.com or I can be reached by phone at (989) 284-3262.

Warm Regards,

Sara Robles
